Clay is a Grammy-winning guitar player from his time with Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. After that he toured and recorded with multiple bluegrass acts, including Mountain Heart and Sierra Hull, supplying both guitar and vocals. In 2012 he decided to lead a group of his own and the Clay Hess Band was formed.
